Flower for My Flower Hayleah

My Nana girl, Hayleah wanted me to crochet her a flower for her hair.

It only takes about an hour or less to make one.

The accual color is darker than this. The main flower is made from Red Heart super saver  color Turqua - medium weight. The center yarnwas made with Bernat - Sunshine yellow - medium weight. I used a I hook and followed the Headbands, Flowers, and Bow patterns from www.mamachee.etsy.com.

Maddie's Spring Fling Beanie with Flower

My 2nd crochet project.

This crochet hat was made with Bernat Cottontots Yarn. Yarn color on hat is Wonder White and the flower is Doll House. The yarn is 4 medium worsted.
I used a H/8 hook for the hat and flower.
Maddie just turned 3 months and is wearing the 3-6 month pattern size.

Maddie'sHeadband With Flower

This is my first crochet project.

A white headband for my new Nana baby.

Then I crocheted this flower for my flower!

She is 3 months old and will grow into the 3 layer flower.
The headband and flower is made with Bernat Cottontots Yarn ,(4 medium worsted). Yarn colors are Country Red, Wonder White, and Sunshine Yellow. The yarn calls for hand wash  and  flat dry. Because it is cotton it stretches, so I think she will be able to wear it to 6 months. The pattern size I made was for 3-6 months

I  used a H/8(yarn called for) or I/9(pattern called for) crochet hook. I can't remember for sure since I made it about a month ago. This is a fairly easy project.

My 1st Knitting Projects

My first knitting project was to make 3 scarves from merino wool. I had seen some scarves in Jerome, AZ. Jerome has many arts and crafts and unique shops. The scarves were very expensive, so at that moment I decided I could make my own. I bought my yarn in Jerome and asked the yarn shop owner how I could learn to knit. She told me to just go on line to You Tube and learn theGarter Stitch. She told me to cast on as wide as I wanted them, and then knit them as long as I wanted the scarfs to be.
The green one was made for my daughter, Alisha. The second was made for my granddaughter Hayleah
I forgot to give my daughter washing instructions, so she washed and dried as usual. As you can see, the washed one faded and shrunk. Hayleah's has not been washed or dried.
Hence, do a swatch, and give washing and drying instructions with gifts.
3rd scarf made for my second daughter Tiffany.
The edges are rough, but practice will improve this fault.

This is the third scarf made for my daughter Tiffany. It has not been washed or dried either.

All in all, I am very happy with the results of my first knit projects.
